Meet Lori

Lori Otto

Lori Otto is a BCBA, a special education teacher, and an adjunct college professor. Before becoming a teacher, Lori owned a shoe business and taught scuba diving certification classes while raising her daughter. Lori earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2004 from Southern California University for professional studies. She earned her bachelor’s in collaborative education from Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University in 2006, graduating Suma Cum Laude. She continued her education while working as a teacher and obtained her master’s and specialist degrees from Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University. In addition, Lori earned a doctoral degree from Nova Southeastern University and her national board-certified teacher credential in 2020. Lori has a daughter in college and three sweet dogs.  Lori’s teaching philosophy is respecting differences, building a climate of trust, and tapping into the strengths and abilities of others. She believes in a consistent, positive, and respectful approach to making lasting, meaningful behavior changes.
