hi and welcome back my name is Jessica
CEO of hope education services every
week I post a video to help you learn
about autism ABA and how to best give
your child their education so tonight’s
video is about the topic can ABA help
kids with high-functioning autism that’s
question I got from a parent the answer
is yes
ABA can help anyone ABA is a method of
teaching at a method of learning that
looks at behavior that’s socially
important and changes it either
increasing it or decreasing it so it can
work for everyone because everyone
engages in social behaviors it can
change any behavior that’s relevant or
important to someone
it works with kids it works with adults
and both typically developing children
and adults and children and adults with
special needs so for example for a child
who’s high-functioning with autism they
might need to learn how to organize how
to do perspective-taking how to smile
and make friends so these are all things
that we can teach how to make jokes
so the ABA program for a child that has
high functioning autism might look
different than a child with more
impairments but it definitely can be
used for everyone I hope that answers
your questions I love to get them so
please send them to me at Jessica
Jessica likewise comm every week I’ll
answer a new question and post a new
video make it a great day and I hope to
see you again soon
