hey guys it’s Jess and welcome back to
hope education video series where I give
you tips and strategies on how to help
your children learn one thing that gets
in the way of children learning all the
time is that they’re super fidgety they
constantly want to be moving around and
looking at things and they’re really
distracted well obviously that can
really hinder learning one thing I like
that’s really really simple and can be
used anywhere is to use what’s called a
fidget cushion it looks like this when
you fill it with air it gets a little
bit bigger but what it does is it gives
the place child the children a place to
sit so what it’s great about is it gives
them a cue they tend to really love it
and also because of the way that it’s
designed it forces kids to engage their
core when they’re sitting which helps
them to actually focus better and sit
still what I love most about these
things is that they can be taken pretty
much anywhere if you’re going to the
library for circle time it can be used
if you’re eating at the kitchen table it
can be used at your therapy table can be
used in school and it’s super super
portable it’s super inexpensive as well
which makes it a really really great
tool you can typically find them online
anywhere between ten and fifteen dollars
and most stores have them so that’s a
tip if you’re having a hard time getting
your child to sit still I hope that it
helps if you want to check out any of
our other videos you can find them on
our YouTube channel at Hope education
series or on Facebook and if you have
any questions please email me I post a
video every week and I love to hear from
the listeners and answer the questions
that you have
god bless make it a great night
